As an artist Elke is inspired by a multitude of things – images, music, poems and literature. However, at times an event can inspire, as is the case with this sculpture.
Spring in Negev
Whilst in Israel for a workshop the artists were taken on a tour of the Negev Desert. The area was barren and bleak, until the party came across a few flowers. These few flowers caused the group so much joy, everyone felt more alive for having seen them.
